Macro became one of Germany's most respected and prolific labels, pulling talent from Santiago Salazar to Pepe Bradock to Ricardo Villalobos. Delivering "track of the year" top 10 hits (as voted in the polls of Resident Advisor and Groove magazine) like Stefan Goldmann's "Lunatic Fringe", Santiago Salazar's "Arcade" or Peter Kruder's "Law Of Return" and holding a label residency at Berlin's infamous Panorama Bar, it's a legend in the making.
The label takes it's vision on the road and offers booking opportunities for packages of Stefan Goldmann + up to 4 other label DJs or live acts.
1.) Stefan Goldmann (DJ)
Macro head and cutting edge producer Stefan Goldmann is one of the few DJs who can rock any club and keep the crowd on their toes with pushing the sound towards the future at the same time. His brilliant DJ skills got him a regular slot at Panorama Bar since 2005 and touring the world's best venues. Within the last 12 months he released a DJ mix CD for Japan's revered Mule Musiq imprint, the hit single "Art Of Sorrow", a record for Cocoon, staged a techno ballett with world famous choreographer Kevin O'Day and produced an album with a version of Igor Stravinsky's "Le Sacre Du Printemps". He continues with new material for Macro and Perlon.
2.) Santiago Salazar (DJ)
Member of Underground Resistance, producer of Los Hermanos, recording artist for Planet E. A biography made in heaven. Santiago has toured the world both as a terrific DJ and live with Los Hermanos. His "Arcade" release on Macro is one of the most controversial tracks of 2009 so far and a benchmark new take on the sound of Detroit. His great selection of both modern and classic and his incredible skills made him the most exposed ambassador of the Detroit-Berlin-axis now.
3.) Oliver Ho aka Raudive (live or DJ)
Live, DJing and producing, Oliver Ho has been responsible for some of the most danceable, yet future-forward sounds around in recent days: his releases for Macro, Cocoon, Poker Flat and Drumcode under the Raudive guise make him one of the most in demand protagonists of Techno today. His outstanding DJ sets are equally challenging and strictly danceable.
4.) Elektro Guzzi (live)
The Austrian techno live sensation will release their debut album on Macro in may 2010. Even before that, they confirmed 30+ live appearances at clubs like Berghain (Berlin), Fabric (London), Trouw (Amsterdam) and Flex (Vienna) plus high profile festival appearances like Sónar (Barcelona), Time Warp (Mannheim) and Spring Festival (Graz). Probably the most in demand live act at the moment. Check www.myspace.com/eguzzi for sound, info and videos!
5.) Finn Johannsen (DJ)
Macro co-founder and music writer Finn Johannsen is one of Berlin's most prolific and sought after DJs, playing nearly every week in the city's great underground clubs. From Kleine Reise to Tape to being a resident at the Macro label night at Panorama Bar. With years of experience and his signature blend of house, classics and techno, he's the first call when it comes to get a crowd screaming and dancing all night long.
